Over the past few years, Borough Market allowed us to go crazy in our wine selection. Thanks to our passionate wine Gurus, who have been sourcing, eating and drinking, Bedales has developed a unique and original wine collection. The fine wine sections at the cellar at Borough and New Spitalfields Market, are packed with fabulous “beauties”. Our Customers range from those who head for the classics, to the experimental looking for advice on what to pair with food , to those with no idea but just with the inspiration of a self gourmet inflected indulgence.

CHRISTMAS 2011

Well the weather has turned, the Christmas songs are playing and the decorations are up and with Bedales offering our usual fare of fantastic Christmas gifts, taster cases and hampers we thought it only fair that we give over a little space to our little treasures, the wines we covet and fuss over and eye with no little longing. Below is just a glimpse of what our cellar holds, but if it's something special you are after then you have come to the right place.

20 April 2011 fine wine offers

  • Here at Bedales, I have dedicated myself on crossing oceans to discover wine treasuries. Yet, I have done 10 years of meeting the wired, drinking the unusual, sleeping in Donjons, spitting the greatest, arriving early and leaving late but always sampling the best with the best whether famous or remotely unknown. All this, not only to bring inspiration to your table where it should be, but to bring the world closer to our heart by celebrating its different locations and interpretations.
  • Now , more of you are demanding a regular update on what nectars field trips has brought me to select. Well, we start in Pomerol where I have spend some times trying to understand its secrets. Anyway, from my shopping I have brought the Nenin. A real petit Pomerol which soon be one of the great vineyard of the region.

  • Chateau Nenin Pomerol 2008: 81% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, delivers intense notes of plums combines with exotic spices. The palate is at first weighty and dense, them develops a dark fruit concentration of the best Cabernet Franc style. This complex mouth feel is reinforced by a superb integration of the polyphenols within the wine. Indeed the tannins are enveloping the wine and create a sensuous texture for the flavours to be well expressed. Voluptuous length, firm, charcoy touch on the finish. Superb.
