BEDALES' wine workshop series is back!
Join us for a one-of-a-kind evening of wine exploration, guided by our passionate & decorated Bedales’ Wine Team.
We welcome all levels of knowledge – we simply ask you to bring a curious (and thirsty) palate! The individual workshop themes offer a unique perspective and approach to the wide world of wine. Your host has personally crafted the topic and can't wait to share with you stories, fun facts and of course, glorious wine! Workshops are ideal for individuals or small groups. The tastings are kept intimate to allow for questions and curiosities throughout. Market Cheese, Charcuterie, and nibbles to be enjoyed!
TALK DIRT(Y) TO ME!
7PM 6 February & 7PM 20 March
Soil. The dirtiest word in wine. It’s a necessity for the vine’s growth, but how often do we stop and consider what the wines we taste have been grown in? Join us as we dig deeper into soil types, and the impact that these soils have on the flavours and aromas we experience in the glass.

Cabernet Franc is an eclectic and charming grape variety that ranges from fragrant and gentle to rich and muscular – and yet, it is often overshadowed by its world famous progeny, Cabernet Sauvignon. This workshop is designed for all enthusiasts with a thirst to explore the vast myriad of styles that the noble parent of Cabernet Sauvignon can offer. We’ll explore Chinon, Bourgueil, Bordeaux and beyond!

(THE ORIGINAL GRAPES)
7PM 6 March & 7PM 24 April
All over the world winemakers are reaching back to ancient grapes, re-discovering varieties that are on the brink of extinction. From the banks of the Rhine to the heights of Mt. Etna, to the foothills of the Caucasus mountains, winemakers are rediscovering their heritage. In doing so they add colour and excitement to the world of wine, counteracting the steady drift toward conformity and a bland homogenous style. Buckle up as we time-travel through winemaking history and explore how grapes colonised the world.
